Selena Gomez's worldwide fame as an actress and singer is undisputed. Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the most prestigious projects that she has been a part of and which has had the highest popularity, is her work. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. The full title is Selena Marie. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were the parents of Selena. Her mother was barely 16 when Selena was born. Selena got her first acting job as a showbiz actress at the age of 9 in the role of Gianna in Barney and her Friends. This was when she became one of the children that performed with the most well-known historical anthropomorphic dinosaur, the purple one. Selena participated in some episodes of the seasons 7 and 8. Between 2001 and 2003, she was a part of the cast. As a fun fact: Selena isn't the only singer who worked on Barney and the Friends in this time period. Demi Lovato was also a part of the ensemble cast for the show. Selena Gomez tried out for various roles following the departure of Barney and the Friends, but was not successful. Selena Gomez got a role as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire and starred as a character in Mini Spies 3 in 2003. The role as Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her for 2006's Brain Zapped, for which she composed a soundtrack.
