Hayley is an American actress and singer. Many people recognize her by the title of Erica Goldberg, from the show 'The Goldbergs' on television. She considers herself to be an artist first and foremost. Music is the first passion she maintains; it is something that she started dabbling in since she was only 9 years old. The first time she began to study the field of music professionally at twelve. She ventured into songwriting at 13 and was 14 when she made her first collection of cover songs. The rest is history. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic heritage. Although she never lived or spoke Spanish in Mexico However, she is extremely proud of her Hispanic culture. She hopes to protect the culture by writing Spanish songs, and also learning the language. One such song is "Hasta Verte," which she composed in Spanish. Orrantia was a part of The X Factor season 1's auditions during the summer 2011. Orrantia, who was initially selected through YouTube videos and got the four "yeses," from judges at Seattle in the live audition stage. Though she initially auditioned on her own at "Hollywood Week", she and three other female vocalists were placed in groups for the remaining part of the auditions. They were eliminated during the fifth week during the live performances.
