Sharon Lawrence

Sharon Elizabeth Lawrence was born in New York City. She is a American actor, singer, dancer. She was awarded an award for her portrayal of Sylvia Costas, a character on the TV show 'NYPD Blue.' Since her early years, she's had a passion for dance as well as acting. Her family was the storyteller's household, her father having studied theatre as well as performing in the theatre. She was the very first member of the family to turn her talent into a job. The actress began her career following her graduation from Raleigh. It was her appearances in musicals were the inspiration for her. Lawrence was first introduced to the stage in late 80s. Her appearances have since been in numerous TV serials as well as films.
